Frequently Asked Questions

Building your own gear usually comes with a few questions. We’ve gathered the most common ones here, covering everything from assembly tips and sourcing parts to shipping and warranty details, to help you get your project off the ground. If you're stuck or can't find what you need, just reach out.

Why is there such a huge price difference between your products?

The DIY Path: Most of our shop consists of project files and specialized components (like PCBs) for a few euros. These are for builders who want to 3D print, source their own parts, and assemble the gear themselves to save money.

The Complete Path: Our 'Made to Order' units are fully assembled, tested, and finished by us in Italy. You’re paying for the premium materials, the labor, and a plug and play product.

If I buy a DIY project, is everything included in the box?

It depends. We sell digital files and parts separately, so you'll find that projects cost just a few euros and include files for printing the parts at home. The rest is shared for free, so you can check the difficulty level before buying. Usually, they're very simple.

I ordered a 'Made to Order' unit. Why isn't it shipping tomorrow?

We don't just pull these off a shelf in a warehouse. Each 'Made to Order' unit is hand-built, tested and certified by us in Italy. This process ensures that the wheel you receive is perfect. It takes a little longer, but you'll see the difference in quality the second you mount it to your rig.

Will this wheel work with my Simucube / Fanatec / Moza base

Most of our designs are 'universal' and connect via a standard USB coiled cable, meaning they are compatible with almost any PC-based setup. You will just need the correct Quick Release (QR) adapter for your base. Check the 'Compatibility' section on the product page to find out exactly what you need to mount it.

What should I do if I accidentally break something while building it?

Don't panic! We all make mistakes, it happens. Since we design the parts ourselves, we can usually send you a replacement component, such as a specific button or PCB, without you having to buy the whole kit again. Just send us a message with a photo of the mistake and we'll help you fix it.

How much does it actually cost to finish a build?

In short, it's a lot cheaper than buying a pre-built one. The exact price is up to you. Since you're doing the assembly yourself, you'll mostly just be paying for the materials. Most of our customers save between 40% and 60% compared to retail prices. The final cost will depend on whether you 3D print the parts at home or purchase our premium machined components. We provide a full bill of materials for every project, so you can see the total cost before you start.
